Biography

I am an Assistant Professor of Finance and Robert H Freeman Fellow at Ohio University. I hold a Ph.D. in Finance with minor in Economics, Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I have taught courses on Managerial Finance, Financial Statement Analysis and Financial Modeling, International Finance, and Financial Management. I am fortunate to be the recipient of 2015-2016 College of Business Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award, 2014-2015 Senior Class of College of Business Faculty Recognition award as well as Finance Department Teacher of the Year Award for 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 academic years. I am actively involved in investment and wealth management products. My practitioner oriented research focuses on sell-side and buy-side equity analysts, asset management and investment banking divisions as well as corporate finance and governance of public firms. My work received University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School-WRDS Outstanding Paper in Empirical Research in 2014.  My papers have been published in several elite and distinguished finance, accounting, real estate journals, including The Journal of Finance, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Real Estate Research, and also got presented at numerous high ranked research institutions.
