OHIO’s College of Business hosted its annual MSA Alumni Symposium to bring together current students and alumni on campus.

On May 5, Masters in Sports Administration alumni traveled from around the country to attend three days of networking and professional development in Athens, OH. Alumni and students participated in daily events and evening celebrations including the 50th anniversary variety show and Charles R. Higgins Distinguished Alumnus Award Banquet.

This year’s symposium was special in that it marked 50 years since OHIO introduced the first graduate-level sports administration program. As part of this celebration, the MSA program welcomed back Dave Coffey, the first graduate of the program in 1971. Coffey worked in both professional sports and college administration. Today, he is happily retired and thinks fondly of his experience at Ohio University.
