Schey recognized for preparing and placing future talent in professional selling roles
Athens, OH (Apr. 23, 2015) – Ohio University’s Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre announces their recognition as a “Top Universities for Professional Sales Education” program. The Sales Education Foundation (SEF) will release the 2015 Annual by the end of April featuring the full list of recognized programs.
The award acknowledges the Schey Sales Centre for their approach to sales education including professional development, innovative curriculum, and real world experience leading to positive student outcomes that elevate the sales profession.
“From the first day, students in the Schey are prepared to excel at graduation and throughout their career through personal assessments, professional development activities, and skill development,” said Greg DiPasquale, executive director of the Schey Sales Centre. “Our graduates have an unfair advantage and it’s reflected in the positive outcomes: 99 percent of our graduates have full-time, rewarding positions at graduation.”
Sally Stevens, executive director of the Sales Education Foundation, noted that companies should have an increased focus on partnering with university sales programs. “Top sales organizations should consider developing partnerships with these programs who are educating the next generation of professional sales people,” she said in the 2015 Annual Letter from the Editor.
“We are extremely proud of our legacy of professional sales education at Ohio University,” said Hugh Sherman, dean of Ohio University’s College of Business. “Since 1997 we have been a leader in sales education and are pleased to be recognized as one of the first – and consistently the best -- professional sales centers in the country.”
