Careers in Business Analytics

Research tells us there is a significant and growing need for young professionals with strong quantitative and analytical skills.

The growth of analytics careers surpasses all starter careers, according to LinkedIn analytics. McKinsey and Company predicted a need for 140,000 to 190,000 additional analytics professionals of various levels in the US by 2018. The report further indicated the even greater needs for advanced experts in analytics. And Accenture predicted that while the United States will create 44 percent of new jobs for analytics experts, it will produce only 23 percent of the supply. These statistics suggest that graduates with a background in analytics will well prepared for the job market—making the job search that much easier for our future graduates.

Besides being an in-demand skill, business analytics can lead to a wide array of career opportunities, from marketing to information technology to finance.
