As a first-generation college graduate, Joshua Casto is passionate about his profession and the role it plays in higher education. He currently serves as director of marketing and communications for Ohio University’s top-ranked College of Business and brings more than a decade of experience in promotional strategy and leadership to the position.
Josh serves as the college’s brand champion and is responsible for articulating that promise through enrollment strategies, diversity and inclusion, alumni engagement, and internal communications. Although he enjoys serving on the college’s exec team and leading the college’s marketing and communications unit, his most fulfilling work is the result of his involvement as advisor to the college’s Student Ambassadors and as an instructor in digital marketing.
After working for multiple post-secondary institutions, Josh is prudently optimistic about the future of higher education and its ability to help individuals meet their personal and professional goals. This fall he will pursue his Ph.D. in higher education with the Patton College of Education.
