Dr. Ed Yost holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and MBA degree from the University of Akron. He has a doctorate in human resource and organizational behavior from the Ohio State University and is certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR). Ed is an Associate Professor Emeritus of Human Resource Management at Ohio University and currently the Director of Graduate Executive Education and Development with the OU College of Business. A native of Ohio, Ed grew up as a dairy farmer and spent time in the US Navy. Ed’s teaching career includes Ohio State, Franklin University and for more than 25 years, Ohio University. In the past Ed has designed and delivered executive MBA programs in Malaysia, China, Brazil and Ohio. Ed’s major research and consulting focus is strategic human capital management and executive development. Ed has published books, articles, cases, chapters and monographs as a result of his research. As a consultant Ed has worked with many organizations in the US and abroad including, India, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Macedonia, Estonia and many others. Ed is married with 4 adult children and two grand daughters. Ed resides in Athens, Ohio with his wife Christine who is also a faculty member at Ohio University.
