Become a Business Bobcat: When you work at OHIO's College of Business, you become part of an innovative and supportive community.

Ohio University’s College of Business is a top-ranked, AACSB-accredited business school that offers a hands-on, personalized experience for students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We’re agile professionals who are disciplined risk takers, life-long learners, and curious global citizens. We inspire innovators who strategically create value and motivate leaders who serve with grit and determination. We also nurture self-aware citizens who better the world of business.

Over the last several years, Ohio University’s College of Business has experienced tremendous growth. We’ve strengthened existing programs and have created new programs. We’ve grown enrollment at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, while maintaining the quality of students we admit. We’ve better prepared students for career success, and as a result we now have 83 percent of our students employed at time of graduation and 90 percent employed three months after graduation. This kind of growth and improvement is no small matter. It’s taken careful planning, investment, and hard work on the part of many faculty and staff in the college.

Through a strategic talent management plan, we have recruited top-faculty and staff from around the world who help us deliver programs to nearly 3,800 students. At the undergraduate level we offer 11 majors, five minors, and nine certificates. For graduate and professional students, we offer accountancy, athletic administration, data analytics, executive education, management, MBA, sports administration and graduate certificate programs in on-campus, hybrid, and online formats.

In many ways, we’ve also changed the face of business education. From the creation of a transformational Integrated Business Cluster experience, to the development of six centers of excellence that connect students to industry, business students at OHIO learn not only the “know what,” but also the “know how.” Our business-specific Career & Student Success Center supports students with regular check-ins, programming, strategically integrated career coursework. And, all students are provided with a support system of faculty, advisors, career coaches, and peer mentors.

OHIO’s College of Business continues to be recognized for their growth and positive experience. In 2016, the college was recognized as the 15th-best public business program in the United States by Bloomberg Businessweek. The Schey Sales Centre and Center for Entrepreneurship have also received top national awards. In 2019, SportBusiness Professional named OHIO’s Professional Master of Sports Administration (PMSA) degree the world’s best online postgraduate sport course, and the Master of Sports Administration (MSA) program was ranked the second best postgraduate sport administration course in the world for 2019. The Online MBA program was also ranked #29 by Poets & Quants.

This is an exciting time to be a part of the College of Business. But then again, it’s always been exciting to be a part of this college. We’ve established a culture where we do things differently to create unique learning and leadership opportunities for business students and an environment where we demonstrate what a transformational residential experience looks like. We have changed the face of undergraduate business education and are recognized for our innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. To say we are excited for our future is an understatement. Because at the end of every year, despite our growth – we know we continue to put students first. We know we’re on the right path and that we’ve got the right people to make it happen.

Our culture in the College of Business is one that is never complacent. We believe if there’s a better way, we should do it. We’re motivated to serve our students first and we will always find ways to do, and be, better. This includes finding additional incredible faculty and staff like you. We hope you’ll join us.
