Ohio University MBA/MSA dual-degree students kicked off the inaugural Bobcat Blizzard initiative to raise funds for their program and promote OHIO basketball.
MBA/MSA dual-degree students are selling Bobcat Blizzard t-shirts to help fund their program and promote the OHIO men's basketball game on Tuesday, Feb. 28 and the OHIO women's basketball game on Wednesday, March 1.
The money that is raised through the Bobcat Blizzard initiative will go towards funding scholarships, travel stipends, event costs, professional development costs, and other initiatives supporting the Master of Sports Administration program. The students involved had the hands-on opportunity to take what they've learned in class about sales, marketing and sponsorship and apply it to real-world situations.
"It’s been really fun to see this initiative grow from the ground up. To watch it from the very beginning as just an idea with a name, to now nearly being sold out with two weeks before the game, has been a tremendous experience," said Ian Ousley, MBA/MSA '18 and member of the sponsorship sales team.
We had the opportunity to sit down with Harrison McIntire, Nick Kopka, and Paige Wells to hear about their experience. From the challenges they faced to the successes they celebrated, this has been an action-packed adventure for these graduate students.
