Jacob Hiler, Ph.D., assistant professor of marketing, has nearly eight years of combined academic and industry experience in consumer behavior, retailing, consumer culture, and relationship marketing. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Hiler conducted marketing research for Fortune 500 companies, including The Walt Disney Company, Pepperidge Farm, Hilton Worldwide, and Heinz. Hiler can offer expert insight on current retail trends, including marketing related to customer service, loyalty programs, hoverboards, and shopping trends parents should look for. Hiler has five forthcoming articles on video game retail, and can provide expert comments about this year’s gaming trends, including VR, online-play, free-to-play models, subscription services, mobile gaming, toys-to-life, and live-streaming with Twitch and YouTube Gaming. Alexa Fox, Ph.D., assistant professor of marketing, focuses her research on digital marketing, user-generated content, online reviews, consumer behavior, neuromarketing, and online privacy.
