Class Year: 2020

Undergraduate Institution/Degree: Gannon University, Sport and Exercise Science

Why did you choose Ohio University's MBA/MSA program?

I chose OHIO's program not only because of its great reputation but because of the OHIO family mentality that was so clear on my first day on campus. The people that I met on my interview day were so welcoming, and I really wanted to be a part of that.

What are you most looking forward to this year?

I am really looking forward to working hard alongside my classmates and taking what we learn to Europe.

What was your favorite MBA class and why?

So far, my favorite MBA class has been Graduate Career Management. Professor Murphy is awesome, and I have already learned so much about how to prepare myself for the real world.

What has been the most difficult part of your transition into graduate school?

The most difficult part about my transition to graduate school has definitely been the math courses. As an exercise science major in undergrad, these classes are all new to me. Luckily, my classmates are amazing and have been helping me with the material along the way.

What would you tell someone considering Ohio University's One-Year MBA program?

I would tell someone to definitely do it. My experience thus far has been great, and I love being a part of the Bobcat community. Everyone looks out for each other here, and you really do feel like a big family. I have already learned so much about myself and my career goals in just a short amount of time.

What are your career goals? How did you figure out what you wanted to do?

It is my goal to work in college athletics. I either want to work in game day operations or work with student-athletes directly and help them be successful far beyond their four years of college. I have always loved college sports, so to be able to work within that industry would be awesome.

Where is your favorite place to hangout on campus/in Athens?

Honestly, any place that has pizza...and Athens has a ton of good choices like Courtside Pizza, Lotsa, or Doctor Pizza.
