DavawnnaOur 2018-19 College of Business Ambassadors share stories about how the college has supported them throughout their academic journey. This week, we connected with Davawnna Clark, a first-year ambassador.

Coming to Ohio University led Davawnna Clark to discover that she can have a career in sports without participating in the athletics. She’s currently studying sport management with hopes of working for an experiential marketing agency where she can develop events for sponsors of various sport platforms.

“I have always grown up playing sports, but due to many injuries I was not able to play the sports I loved anymore,” she said. “Sport management seemed like the next best thing.”

As an ambassador, Clark wants to share her passion for the College of Business as well as showcase the valuable resources available through the college. She’s looking forward to meeting students who are indecisive on which college to attend because she can relate how she felt then and explain why they’d be at home in Athens.

Clark thinks more freshmen should get involved in social and academic organizations to gain professional experience and meet great people.

What extracurricular activities do you participate in?

Junior trip lead of Select Leaders, College of Business Ambassador, Member of the Schey Sales Center, Student Director of Marketing and Events for the Walter Center, Peer Mentor through OMSAR

What is one fun fact about you?

I have torn both my ACL'S. I have never been to a wedding.

What’s your favorite spot on campus to study?

4th floor of Alden in the comfy chairs

College of Business Student Ambassadors are a select group of business majors who have been chosen to represent the college with prospective students and their families.
