Philip Black is an international student from Santiago, Chile. He is in his senior year and is pursuing a double major in Marketing and Sports Management. In addition to being a member in Select Leaders, Philip is the Vice-President of the Ohio University Men's Club Soccer Team where he handles all the team's roster, schedule and travel logistics as well as keeping a strong lasting relationship with the community (Athens Middle and High School) and the Club Team's alumni. Philip works on-campus as a Facility Supervisor for the department of Campus Recreation where he oversees all activities within the facility as well as planning and organizing of the field’s schedule. This past summer, Philip completed an internship with the U.S. Soccer Federation working on the Event Management and Logistics Staff for their Development Academy. He also spent 8 weeks working remotely for NBC Universal’s SportsEngine where he performed International Market Research for the company. Additionally, Philip spent 5 weeks backpacking in Southeast Asia where he experienced meeting, staying and traveling with both backpackers from all over the globe as well as many locals. Philip hopes to continue to learn from all his future work, experiences and people he meets.
