Marketing research is the process that links customers to the marketer through the collection and interpretation of information. Marketing researchers and marketing analysts support organizations’ missions and goals by collecting, interpreting, and managing information necessary to make sound, empirically-driven marketing management decisions. Individuals employed in the field of marketing research – such as market analysts, research managers, project directors - enable organizations to offer the right products and services at the right price and at the right location.

Brand Management

Brand and marketing management is a discipline that focuses on the practical application of marketing techniques and the management of resources and activities. A brand manager would be the champion for a product line or brand. Their main job would be to organize and oversee the promotion, sales, and image of branded products or services. If you were a brand manager, you would control every aspect of the brand from advertising campaigns to production decisions and sales strategies.

This is where you combine marketing objectives, like selling a product, with artistic ingenuity, i.e. the advertisement, social media post, or brochure. Marketing communications applies quantitative and qualitative research to the creative process to drive consumer behavior.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management

This is the supervision of the flow of goods. It includes the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point or origin to point of consumption.
