We are looking for strong students with potential, ready to achieve great things in the business world.

Ohio University’s College of Business is consistently recognized as one of the nation’s best public business schools.  We have a selective admission policy for freshman and transfer applicants.  If you apply as a freshman, we’ll review your high school record including class rank, ACT or SAT Score, grade trend, coursework, grade-point average, and any other information you provide.

Your undergraduate education is much more than the classes you’ll take in Copeland.  It’s the experiences you have -- in and out of the classroom.  Get involved in student organizations that let you manage millions of dollars of University Foundation funds and build a scholarship for future students. Or change the world by participating in Enactus, an international non-profit that works with leaders in business and higher ed to mobilize students to become socially responsible business leaders. You’ll make life-long friends, learn about yourself and your world while building a professional portfolio that prepares you for success upon graduation.  And it all happens right here in Athens, Ohio at one of the most beautiful residential college campuses in the country.

Meet our Student Ambassadors

You might have questions about the College of Business. Our Business Bobcat Ambassadors are current students that are ready to answer your questions, share their experiences, arrange a tour of the College of Business, and connect you to faculty and staff.

Get Ready for Your First Year

“Bobcat Business!” and “Pre-Sport Management” communities are tailored exclusively to the College of Business and are an excellent way to meet new friends and make connections throughout the university. As part of a community, you and your community members will share not only learning experiences and out-of-class activities, but support one another's academic success.

Personalized Learning

Learn about yourself and your world through personalized coaching, mentoring, and outstanding academics. Our classes are small to more effectively focus on your personal development and all classes are taught by qualified faculty, not graduate assistant.

Home Away From Home

Ohio University is a residential campus, meaning that almost all students live on or near campus. All first- and second-year students live in one of the University's 42 residence halls. In fact, the residence hall is not just a place to sleep at night. It’s a great place to make friends, find study partners, and become part of a close living-learning community.

From restaurants, shops, and places to hang out, there is plenty to do in uptown Athens - all within walking distance. This is the perfect place to unwind.

Small Classes Taught by Experts

Our classes are small to focus on you as an individual. Classes are taught by experienced faculty, not teaching assistants, to provide a foundation of academic excellence. We have more than 110 highly qualified teacher-scholars and executives-in-residence that maintain deep connections in the business community and are performing prominent research in their field.
