BRANDON'S QUICK BIO

What is your hometown?
I am an out-of-state student from Blacksburg, VA.

When did you start your college search?
I started my college search around the middle of my junior year, I'd already identified what I wanted to do, so it was just preliminary research into what universities were good at what I wanted to study.

How did you find Ohio University?
I found OU when looking at college rankings for undergraduate Sport Management programs and saw OU consistently ranked at the top of the list.

What do you remember from your college visit?
I remembered how genuine the students I talked to seemed. At some universities, it felt like they were putting on a façade to try to get me to commit there, but OU seemed to genuinely want to help me with my search.

Why did you choose OU?
I chose OU for a number of reasons, the first being its top Sport Management program. Additionally, Athens and OU's campus just felt like home for me and, I was very comfortable being here after a visit or two.

THE COB & ATHENS

What are you studying? How did you come to that?
I'm studying Sport Management and Marketing. Sports has always been one of my passions and getting to know the business behind it was always an attractive option to me. In regards to marketing, I was heavily involved In DECA in high school, a marketing-based organization, and I realized I enjoyed both the work I was doing and had a knack for it.

Reflect on your Cluster experience.
Cluster was an enjoyable experience for me. It allowed me to work In a setting unlike any other and forced me to work effectively with my team to solve high stakes, time-constrained questions. It has done a lot to develop me both as a professional, and a leader.

How else are you involved on campus?
I am a member of the OHIO Honors Program for Business, serve as the Director of Campus Relations for the Schey Sales Centre, and am involved in my business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi.

What do you want to do after graduation?
I am planning to graduate in spring 2022 and want to work in sponsorship sales for a major sports team.

Share about your advisor? Your Career Coach?
My career coach, Annie Brackley, is my greatest asset on campus. She is always there if I need anything at all, even if it's just a sympathetic ear. She is willing to do anything to help OU students succeed and is a wonderful person to get to know.

PERSONALITY QUESTIONS

If you could live in any sitcom, which one would it be and why?
If I were to live in any sitcom, I would choose to live In The League. It's a show based around a bunch of friends from high school who play fantasy football together. That kind of sounds like Ideal life so living In the show would be fun.

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be?
If I were to have my own talk show, I would choose to bring In Brendon Urie (singer of Panic! at the Disco), Joel Embiid (center for the 76'ers), and Anna Kendrick.

Do you have a celebrity look alike?
Some people say I look like Dave Franco, but you can be the judge of that.

What are your hobbies?
In my free time, I love to read. My favorite book currently is the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Beyond that, I enjoy going for runs and working out and am an avid sports fan.
