KELLY'S QUICK BIO
What is your hometown?
Westlake, OH (Cleveland Area)
When did you start your college search?
I started my college search when I was a sophomore in high school. Overall, I was incredibly eager to start the process so I started as early as possible. My first college visit was in my sophomore year, and I continued having them up until the first month of my senior year.
How did you find Ohio University?
Honestly, I didn't know what I wanted in a college. At first, I was looking at smaller, more private universities. My mom, however, wanted me to go to a public university for a variety of reasons. In the summer between my junior and senior years, my mom was looking at college football teams when she said, "Kelly, I don’t know why, but I have a feeling about this one" and pointed to the Ohio University logo. I sighed but decided to schedule a visit. When I showed up on campus, I was blown away.
What do you remember from your college visit?
When we were taking the tour, my tour group stopped at a particular spot that quickly became my favorite spot on campus. We stopped right In front of Chubb Hall, right near the crosswalk. Although this spot seems random, I loved the view from It. Looking forward, you could see the College of Business and how amazing it looked. Behind the College of Business, you could see the mountains surrounding the university. It was summer and finally, If you looked to your right, you could see Court Street and all the bricks. The view was beautiful and a memory I hold very closely.
Why did you choose OU?
I chose OU not just because of the beautiful campus, but because of the professors in the College of Business. When I arrived, I was greeted by professors who clearly wanted nothing but to help me make the right choice for me.
THE COB & ATHENS
What are you studying? How did you come to that?
I'm studying Management Information Systems and Business Analytics. Choosing those majors wasn't necessarily easy because my perception of them was that they were so difficult. Through conversations with my professors, I realized that the two majors were perfect for me.
Reflect on your Cluster experience.
Cluster was a large amount of work but overall, so worth it. I came out of it understanding how to properly format a report, give professional presentations, and communicate effectively in a team. Overall, the experience was so educational and I'm thankful for It!
How else are you involved on campus?
As a junior, I'm involved in the Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre and Information Systems and Analytics Professionals (ISAP). I'm in leadership positions in both organizations! I also work as a Peer Consultant in the Career and Leadership Development Center and as a Teachers Assistant for the Analytics Department.
What do you want to do after graduation?
Although plans can change, I'm currently hoping to go work for Whirlpool Corporation as a full-time employee In their marketing/sales department.
If you could live in any sitcom, which one would it be and why?

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be?

If you can instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
